This is my spooky tree painting. I used watercolors and paint. I learned how to go from light to dark as a sense of the trees being closer and making the trees in the front bigger than the ones in the back. The art elements I used were color and value. The design elements I used were contrast and unity. The painting shows a sense of calming because of the purple sunset.
This is my dreamtime drawing. I used oil pastels for the first time in this drawing. It represents when I go sailing. The swirls in the sky represent the wind and the dots in the sky represent the fresh air. The dots and lines at the bottom of the drawing represent the choppy water.
this is my first ink drawing. It is a macro still life from a picture I found on the Internet. It includes lines, value, space, and texture. Doing this drawing I learned a lot about how to draw with ink and using different textures to emphasize different things.
This is my macro still life. I used watercolors. It shows contrast as a design element and color as a art element. I learned how to use the iPad to take a close up picture and trace it and then copy it onto paper.
This is my leaf water color painting. First I outlined it on sketchbook to practice drawing the General shapes of the leaves. I used value by using dark and light colors to show contrast between the leaves and the background. I tried to make it more realistic and detailed by painting veins on the leaves. During this painting I learned how to properly use water color paints and how to mix them to get other colors you want. This is my one point perspective hallway drawing. I sat on the ground looking towards this direction in the hallway and tried to make it look as close as possible to the real thing. My drawing uses value, lines, shape and space. The new skill I learned to draw this is to be able to connect my drawing with my groups so it creates a triptych.
This is a pencil drawing using boxes or triangles and lines and vanishing points. Some lines are darker than others, creating value. Some other art elements I used were space, form, and shape. All of the shapes shoot towards a center point so they all come together in one spot, the vanishing point.
